Propane Usage Planner

Estimate how much propane remains in a tank and how long it might last based on a simple daily-use assumption.

Build your propane estimate

Use simple planning assumptions. Actual fuel use varies substantially with equipment, weather, occupancy, and operating patterns.

Daily propane use

Choose a starting point or enter your own estimate in gallons per day.

How the estimate works

Available propane is estimated from tank size and the selected tank-level percentage. Days remaining is available gallons divided by estimated daily use. Monthly and annual projections use 30 and 365 days respectively.

Tank × %Estimated available propane
÷ gal/dayEstimated days remaining
30 / 365Monthly and annual projections
Important: This planner is an early-stage fuel-use estimate. It does not determine tank safety, delivery schedules, regulator requirements, appliance sizing, heating performance, or code compliance. Propane systems involve safety-critical equipment; follow applicable requirements and use qualified professionals for system design and installation.

Why actual use can differ

Heating demand can change dramatically with weather and building performance, while cooking, water heating, appliance efficiency, occupancy, and operating schedules also affect consumption. Replace the starter daily-use assumption with measured usage when available.
