Electrical Load Planner

Estimate daily electricity use by listing common loads, their wattage, runtime, and quantity. Use the result as a planning input for other tools.

Build your load estimate

Start with common small-home loads, then adjust, remove, or add items to match your project.

How the estimate works

Each load is estimated with watts × hours per day × quantity ÷ 1,000 to produce daily kWh. Connected load is the sum of the listed wattage multiplied by quantity.

W × hEnergy used by each load
÷ 1,000Convert watt-hours to kWh
Σ loadsTotal daily electricity use
Important: This planner is an early-stage load estimate, not an electrical design. Connected load is not a recommendation for inverter size, breaker size, service size, wiring, or generator capacity. Verify final electrical requirements with applicable codes and a qualified professional.

Appliance wattage and runtime are estimates

Real appliances cycle on and off and may draw different power while starting, operating, or idling. Replace the starter values with measured or manufacturer-provided information when you have it.
